Halloween Google Doodle
Google is running this Doodle to note Halloween. Here’s Yahoo’s logo:
Yahoo is running a Halloween 2006 page, complete with scary stories, top candies, scary movies, scary music videos, and scary Flickr photos.
Ask is running this full-screen image behind their search page:

My favorite part of Halloween is seeing the costumes people are willing to humiliate themselves in or titillate others with.
My advice: buy a formerly expensive costume on eBay or in some high-end shops in the days after Halloween, and save it for next year.
Check out last year’s Halloween logos from Google, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves (now just Ask.com). Also, Google’s Halloween jobs page is still up.

SIX Golden rules of Pay per click marketing campaign
by Radhika Venkata
What are pay per click engines?
Pay per click engines as the name suggests, webmasters have to pay a fee for each click coming from search engine results. Depending on how much the person bids for a keyword over his competitor his website will be positioned in the search engine results.
How pay per click search engines work?
For example if a webmaster bids $0.07 on the term ‘tennis shoes’. If no other webmaster bids more than this, he will stay in 1st position. If second webmaster bids $0.08, then second one goes to 1st position. Basically this is like auction procedure for No.1 position.
So what are SIX Golden tips to work with Pay per click search engines?

SEO Copywriting Drivel or Selling Content?
SEO Chat just publised an article about how to make your optimized site sell better. This topic is in fact one of my pet peeves, cause what is the point of driving tons and tons of traffic from search engines if the traffic doesn’t convert into sales?
Priority number one when creating content for a page or a site must always be quality content that is capable of converting visitors into customers. Then think about SEO.
In his article, SEO for organic search does not equal sales, Clint touches upon a few important points, however, I feel it’s a bit superficial and simplified, especially after having read Marketing Sherpa’s “Landing Page Handbook: How to Raise Conversions - Data & Design Guidelines.”
However, I think his main point is to treat your web site as a sales machine, and I couldn’t agree more. Selling pages must have a clear message and a clear call to action. Don’t confuse your visitors with all kinds of details about your product on that page, but rather, IF needed, supply links to supporting pages.

There are basically four C’s to remember on how to ensure success in your designs.
Commitment. The first C. Once the design process is already set, commitment takes action. This is all about carrying on the missions and goals. It is crucial that the designer should rise above all the challenges that he will encounter in the whole process. Every commitment seems to be challenged, so commitment has to come out victorious.

To be successful with your online business, whether you are selling your own product, services or are selling for other merchants as an affiliate, you need a Web site that focuses on that subject alone. Having the right tools or product alone will not insure the success of your website. There are many factors to be considered when designing your site. How To Track All Your Website Traffic For Free
by Louis Allport
Do you know:
* Exactly how many people are visiting your website? * How long they’re staying on your site before they move on? * Exactly where those visitors are coming from, each day? * How much of your website traffic is repeat visitors? * The exact paths people take as they click their way through your website?
Here’s what I’m getting at:
If you don’t know your visitors, it makes it *very* difficult for you to improve the performance of your website and turn more visitors into customers - AND - get more quality traffic. For the simple reason that you’re effectively working blind.
Without knowing how people visit your site and what they do on your site, any attempts at growing your traffic and improving the profitability of your website is working with one armed tied behind your back, at least.
